Summary
- Genjutsus are one of the main types of attacks in this game. These techniques are focused on creating illusions and messing with one's perception.
- Unlike Taijutsu or Ninjutsu, Genjutsu does not require you to make contact with the opponent in order to damage them and can be used from a safe distance.
- Genjutsu Kai: An innate ability that gives everyone the chance to release the effects of a Genjutsu simply by tapping or holding X (Block) while under one.
- You will need a similar level of Genjutsu Knowledge and Control in order to successfully Kai another player's Genjutsu.
- There are two main types of Genjutsu: Target and Area of Effect
- Target Genjutsus require the user to have the opponent targeted before they can use the technique.
- Can be cast from a further distance compared to an AoE Genjutsu.
- The effect will wear off if either the victim OR the user is hit. (Keep this in mind if you cannot Kai the Genjutsu)
- Only drains chakra upon activating a Genjutsu.
- Area of Effect Genjutsus create a field of chakra that can affect multiple people at once.
- The effect will wear off if the user is hit. (Keep this in mind if you cannot Kai the Genjutsu)
- Drains chakra upon activation and continuously after in order to upkeep the field of chakra.
- Target Genjutsus require the user to have the opponent targeted before they can use the technique.
